Bodkin Ras Crowdfunding Campaign Comes to an End

The Indiegogo crowdfunding for Bodkin Ras has now closed, with a total £1,480 being raised over the course of the campaign!

Our campaign, which ended in the early hours of June 5th, offered contributors a variety of perks, including Bodkin Ras posters, t shirts and special download bundles. Additionally, we offered Bodkin Ras content specially tailored towards Musicians, Artists, Writers, and Directors, with signed copies of scripts, soundtracks and artwork all on offer. The people of Forres continue to be very important to our production, and we are excited to take the film back to the town, selling tickets to the Forres screening as part of our campaign.

We also worked closely with local Forres business Oh How Sweet, who created a range of Bodkin Ras chocolates for us, proving to be very popular amongst contributors, and you can see why!

The funds raised by the  campaign will be used to cover the essential cost of the post production process. This will include continuing editing costs, as well as providing the film with a soundtrack that does the tone and style of the film justice and a fine grade that will give the film a slick quality and do justice to the location and cinematography.

Alongside the Indiegogo campaign we also ran the Bodkin Ras Mashup Competition, asking entrants to create a dynamic teaser for the film. We wanted a trailer that informed the audience; reflecting the genre through the use of editing, non-diegetic music and on screen text to create atmosphere, tone and mood. The standard was very high – and the level of variety amongst the trailers was a testament to the creativity and inventiveness of the applicants.

The mashup competition was won by Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design student, currently studying as part of an exchange programme at  Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design Monika Medurska. Monika will receive a EIFF 2014 delegates pass, a Bodkin Ras goodie bag, as well as a one on one consultation session with Revolver Amsterdam. Check out the winning entry here.

During the campaign we also ran our Indiegogo Champion Competition whereby the person who shared our campaign with the most people, would win an IMDb credit and their name in the Bodkin Ras credits. This competition was won by Lynnaire MacDonald of Indie Film Sprites, whose valuable support was a constant help throughout the campaign.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of our contributors, without whom none of this could be possible. All contributions will now go towards finishing the film, and we can’t wait for you to see it!
